Anne Mallari
Chief Executive Officer
Anne Mallari is the CEO of We Care, where she leads the organization’s mission to prevent homelessness by helping individuals and families remain safely housed through financial assistance, food security, case management, and community partnerships.
With more than 30 years of experience serving Orange County communities, Anne has dedicated her career to strengthening families, expanding opportunities for youth, and building collaborative solutions to complex social challenges. Before joining We Care in 2024, she served for 17 years as Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress, growing the organization from a single-site operation into a thriving network serving more than 1,500 young people each day. Her career has also included leadership roles with the Orange County Department of Education and the Cypress School District.
Anne has long believed that the most effective way to address homelessness is to prevent it before it begins. Under her leadership, We Care has expanded community partnerships, increased fundraising, strengthened volunteer engagement, and enhanced programs that help families avoid eviction while providing nutritious food and connections to vital community resources.
In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Anne has a long history of public service. She served on the Cypress City Council from 2020 to 2024, including as Mayor in 2023, and currently serves as a Commissioner on the Orange County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.
Anne is known for bringing people together across sectors—including businesses, faith communities, schools, civic organizations, and local government—to solve community challenges. She believes lasting change happens when communities invest in prevention, treat every person with dignity, and work collaboratively to ensure neighbors in crisis have the support they need to regain stability and hope.
