Who We Serve

WE CARE is a family support center sponsored by local churches, community groups, corporations and concerned citizens. We serve families, veterans, and senior citizens residing in the areas of Northwest Orange County including the cities of Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, Cypress, Rossmoor, Stanton, Fountain Valley or Huntington Beach.

We provide more than $5,000 of food and personal care items each month to local people in need. And we are able to do this because of your generous support!

Thank you for helping We Care to keep people housed and fed.

It’s easier than ever to do a food drive and support We Care. You can use this link to purchase items and have them shipped directly to our food pantry.

Anne Mallari – Chief Executive Officer

Anne Mallari, CEO of We Care Orange County, is a seasoned nonprofit leader dedicated to preventing homelessness and hunger through community partnerships and family-centered support.

Anne Mallari brings more than 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and public service to her role as CEO of We Care Orange County. She is passionate about preventing homelessness and hunger by addressing the root causes of eviction and providing families in crisis with the tools to regain stability.

Under Anne’s leadership, We Care has strengthened its programs to create a comprehensive safety net for local residents. Families receive not only rent and utility assistance, but also case management, financial planning support, and access to a client-choice food pantry that restores dignity and choice during difficult times. Her vision is clear: to prevent a crisis from becoming a catastrophe and to ensure that no family in our community faces a housing crisis alone.

Prior to joining We Care, Anne served for more than 17 years as CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Anaheim-Cypress, where she grew the organization from a small program into a multi-million-dollar agency serving more than 1,500 youth daily. She also held leadership roles as School Readiness Coordinator for Cypress School District and Public Education Manager for the Orange County Department of Education, always focusing on lifting up at-risk families through education, resources, and community partnerships.

Anne’s commitment to service extends beyond her professional roles. She has served in PTA leadership for over a decade, on the Cypress City Council (including a term as Mayor), and on numerous municipal boards and commissions. She currently serves on the Orange County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls.

Anne is known as a collaborative, visionary leader who builds strong teams and lasting community partnerships. At the heart of her work is a simple belief: that when families have stability and hope, the entire community thrives.
